As i said in another thread, this is a known issue for Windows 7 64 bit version. Our Development Department is still working with BitDefender to find a solution. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

i know that there will be a solution but i still paid for the rootkit part not that i have sleepless nights about it
anyway i love the new bullguard 10 it works great

There is no need for rootkit scanning in the form that the feature is implemented on our x32 versions. Microsoft has come up with a system called PatchGuard on x64 Windowses that will not allow rootkits to exist in their current x32 form.

However, the virus scanner will perfectly detect and remove rootkit-like infections that don't use hooking methods on 64bit environments.
