Rootkit infection

Good morning everybody
My computer is using window XP and when i am trying to do an antivirus scan,it never scan completely because it shows up ROOTKIT hundred of times and stall for minutes and minutes....
Does somebody could help me please. Thanks in advance

Windows XP is going to be discontinued. I strongly advise you consider Window 7 or, if it's an old computer, then a replacement.
