Let me start by saying that I love bullguard. Easily the best antivirus program I've used since F-PROT and dos days.

Let me also say that I've never paid for antivirus software in my life, and I dont mean to start now.

Ive always used the (crippled) free scanners for as long as I can remember.

Bullguard is such a fantastic product, any chance of making a free version to increase your appeal with the masses?

I'm afraid. Like you said : "Bullguard is such a fantastic product". To achieve this status, huge expenses are needed.

We need to cover this expenses :)

Hrmm.. Not really.. other fantastic products that are free: merjin's hi-jack this, malwarebytes anti-malware, spybot search n destroy.

all programs that I've seen mentioned in a diagnostic fashion, on THESE VERY FORUMS, from YOUR STAFF.. =//

So its okay to use the other stuff that people give away freely, to make your own profit? Thats not very open source now? Is It?

how are 'huge expenses' warranted by an antivirus company? ... I can hire an armada of russian hackers for pennies a day.. =/ Its them who make the viruses.. surely they can be hired to put an end to them?

I assume when you write - "from YOUR STAFF" meant Me ? If you do, please read My signature.

The programs I use - hi-jack this, malwarebytes anti-malware, superantispyware, combofix, etc. have no realtime protection.

Which means it is okay, Me and other volunteers, not paid helpers can use them ;-)

In this world there is no such thing as a free lunch. Do you expect to get your car repaired for free or your house insured for £0?
